FAQ's

What’s it like? Every Sunday is a little different. Sometimes, we sing (we use a band with guitars, drums, etc.). Sometimes, we do things that are interactive (like visiting stations or making something). There’s usually a message, an informal time to greet people, and prayer (don’t worry, no one will single you out, make you pray or ask to pray for you. But you can leave prayer requests at our welcome area – and we’ll pray for them!)

What should I wear?
We’re pretty casual. Jeans are fairly common on Sunday mornings, but if you like to dress up a little, you’ll find that others do, too. You probably won’t, however, find anyone in a tie.

How long does it last? Our worship gathering lasts 60 minutes right now. Our Kidstuf production lasts exactly 45 minutes.

What kind of church are you? We’re an interdenominational (non-denominational) church, a daughter church of Church of the Savior (KY) and a grand-daughter church of the Community Church of Greenwood (IN). There are 18 “Greenwood family” churches in Indiana and Kentucky. Each one is a little different, but together we share a commitment to make disciples and promote local and world missions. It might also help you to know that we share many of the same values and methods as North Point Community Church (GA).

What’s your pastor like? Max is real - not plastic. He's not running for office and doesn't have someone "managing" his image. He's a "down-to-earth" kind of guy who is honest about this life and his struggles. He doesn't think he's better than you. In addition to having all kinds of jobs before becoming a pastor, Max does have experience being a pastor (in "another life," he was a children's pastor and administrative pastor). Max is also formally trained (B.A., M.A. Wheaton College, MDiv. Asbury Theological Seminary), but as he will tell you…he learned more about how to be a pastor by being an elementary school janitor (where he learned how to listen to women and serve others). After all, Biblical leadership is "servant leadership."
