Pastor Max Vanderpool

Max is married to Jenny and, together, they have three children: John Mark, Jillian and Madeline. Max is a graduate of Wheaton College (B.A., M.A.) and Asbury Theological Seminary (MDiv.). Max has served on the Board of Directors for the Jessamine County Food Pantry, Leadership Jessamine County, and the Jessamine County Homeless Coalition. He is a Chamber Ambassador and an adjunct instructor at Asbury University.  In 2006, he completed a year-long study of worldview through the Centurion Program (personally led by Chuck Colson).

More importantly, Max still loves “his Jenny.” He is an avid reader (especially social American history, culture, and leadership) and an avid outdoorsman, although he doesn’t camp (as he puts it: “I’ll trek, get muddy, do whatever – but at the end of the day, I want a good steak, a comfy bed and a warm shower!”). Max is also an enthusiastic kayaker. In fact, if you own a kayak and even suggest hitting a river or lake, Max will usually want to know just one thing: what time?
