Many of us actually have "fond memories" of church when we were kids. The organ, the hymnal, the bulletin, the way in which people greeted one another combined to make a positive impression on us. On July 25th, we're going to have an "old-fashioned" worship gathering (complete with hymns and a printed bulletin...along with a couple of surprises). When "church" is over, head home, change clothes and bring a carry-in dish to City-County Park (Nicholasville) at 12:30 p.m. for a church-wide picnic. We anticipate that this "experience" will be out-of-the-ordinary for Generations, but we hope that the flavors and big idea for the day will leave a lasting and positive imprint. |
