Christians all around the world are united in one belief: that, at the end of the day, it’s all about Jesus. Think about it. More songs have been sung to him, artwork created of him, and books written about him than anyone who’s ever lived. Even the calendar we use is based upon his life. No one person has changed the course of human history like Jesus.

And because he’s so famous, a lot of people think they know who he really is. They saw something about him on TV, or they were taught things in church when they were a kid, or they’ve read stuff written about him. But just because we have ideas of who Jesus is doesn’t mean we actually know Jesus.

At Generations Community Church, we make the most of Jesus—his birth, his life, his death and his resurrection. We believe the Bible tells us some very important things about who Jesus is and what he came to do. The early Christians called this message, “The Good News” (or “The Gospel”).

So consider this a “warning label” of sorts. We’re all about Jesus here. And if you hang with us, you’re going to hear about him, have us point to him, urge you to follow him, and even celebrate him. Just know that up front.

When it comes to Jesus, we believe:

  • He is God
  • He was born of a virgin
  • He lived a sinless life
  • He died a vicarious death
  • He came back to life
  • He is coming back to earth to “wrap up” history
