None of us are here just for ourselves. While most Americans are content to plod along life marrying and divorcing, relocating, taking jobs and quitting jobs all because they believe those choices will make them happy…life really isn’t about our personal happiness and fulfillment. We’re here for a reason. We’re here for something significant.

We believe you really come alive when you discover how you’re hard-wired and when you begin using your strengths, your life experiences and your passion for God’s glory and the expansion of His rule here on earth. At the moment, we have an informal process for discovering your strengths and giving a voice to your passion that involves a personality-type assessment, and some one-on-one meetings before stepping into a ministry role.

Those wanting to serve with children or youth will have to undergo an application process and background checks before stepping into a ministry role with children or youth.

At the end of the day, it’s not what you accomplished – it’s how you lived and how you stewarded what God has given you. Here’s the good news: He’s given you much more than you probably realize.

We actively encourage people to “get their hands dirty” serving, not just at Generations, but also IN the community at places like the Jessamine County Food Pantry, the Jessamine County Homeless Coalition, recovery groups, etc. that take place throughout Jessamine County. It’s the whole “don’t hide your light under a bushel thing.”
